President

Sixth President of Chi Eta Omega Chapter

Greetings!

On behalf of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Chi Eta Omega Chapter, I extend a warm welcome to our website!  I am extremely honored and blessed to serve as the 6th President of Chi Eta Omega Chapter whose  membership consists of a group of dynamic, talented, innovative, and industrious women who value sisterhood and the spirit upon which Alpha Kappa Alpha was over 109 years ago and who are dedicated to fulfilling the sorority's purpose of being of "Service to All Mankind" through its programming and volunteerism. Chi Eta Omega was chartered in 2003 in Conway, Arkansas by trailblazing and trendsetting women who wanted to serve their community.  14 years later, we are doing that just that! Our international program, Launching New Dimensions of Service (“LNDS”) has been a driving force in providing programming and service, which signified meaningful collaborations and innovative leadership and engagement. Annually, Chi Eta Omega members provide over 5000 program hours of service to Central Arkansas. Those hours were appropriately distributed across a wide variety of programs and service projects aimed at catalyzing change through the sorority’s target issue areas of Educational Enrichment, Health Promotion, Family Strengthening, Environmental Ownership and Global Impact.  We partnered with various local, regional and national organizations such as the City of Little Rock, the City of Conway, Africare, the Center for Healing Hearts, the American Heart Association, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and the American Stroke Association. Chi Eta Omega is also the sponsoring chapter for the undergraduate chapter located on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas.  Finally, the chapter, through its charitable arm, The Pearls Foundation, has provided thousands of dollars in scholarships to deserving students through the Dr. Phillis Nichols Anderson Faith Based Scholarship award. Over the last few years, almost 30 recipients have benefited from the chapter’s generosity which the eased the burden of paying for college related expenses.  In 2017, Chi Eta Omega remains steadfast in being “Mission-Driven and Member-Focused” while being of Service to All Mankind!
